...Coworkers that do not take their cell phones with them when they get up from their desks! Nothing worse than hearing someone else's strange ringtones (on the "increasing ring" setting) - except when no one is around to answer it! Not everyone likes the single-note MIDI version of Video Killed the Radio Star as much as you do! :wtf: I think it is going to become Jamie Killed the Damn Cellphone in a little while... :-O Peace! -=- James

DeleteFXPFiles & CheckFavorites (Please rate this post!)I used to do some of the following: * turn down ring volume/turn off phone * hide the phone * pleasantly answer the phone and immediately hang up and turn it off * leave a post-it note apologizing for not being able to play receptionist anymore, that I had work to do. I agree. A cell phone is meant to be carried by the owner at all times. Leaving it abandoned (where it can disturb other people) is grounds for imminent obliteration or evaporation. :-) In my previous job, we would hide the phone inside one of the guy's desk's drawer. Then we'd get some amusement out of watching him anxiously look for it. Alvaro

DeleteFXPFiles & CheckFavorites (Please rate this post!)I have a roomate that leaves his cell phone out in the kitchen all the time. You can hear the ringtone anywhere in the apartment and I suspect in neighboring apartments as well. But even better is if someone leaves him a message the "message alert beep" is louder than the ringtone... Just in case you didn't hear the phone. To top all that off he is a heavy sleeper. When I was at Sonardyne one guy (named Paul Newman, no less!) did this all the time. One day one of my co-workers got sufficiently fed up to hide it above one of the ceiling tiles in the office. They then rang it - briefly - while he was at the other side of the office. It took him nearly an hour to figure out where it was! After watching that, I usually carry my phone on my belt, switched to "vibrate only". ;) Anna :rose: Currently working mostly on: Visual Lint  Anna's Place | Tears and Laughter "Be yourself - not what others think you should be" - Marcia Graesch "Anna's just a sexy-looking lesbian tart" - A friend, trying to wind me up.
