What to do in Sydney?
-
Hi all, I'm going to pack my backpack and travel the ~21800 km to Sydney in a few weeks. I'm going to be in Australia for 24 days (mostly in the Sydney area, I guess) and I would greatly appreciate tips on what to do/not to do. I've got a few travel guides and I'm going to visit friends who live there, but eventually I'll probably grow bored with the tourist-thing or ogling the local women, so all kinds of suggestions are welcome. :) Btw, trying :vegemite: is already on my list of things to do. ;) --- "Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest". -- Denis Diderot

I'm getting too old. I was thinking I was in the soapbox with my first reply. So, in a more lounge-ish fashion...

Relax, kick back and soak up the atmosphere. Simple. Or you could call Michael Martin if you really want a harrowing experience. cheers, Chris Maunder

It's one of those cases where having a unique name isn't so desireable, anyone can look you up easily.

Well, in that case I'm not really Jeremy. I'm someone else with the same name. :) Jeremy Falcon

Both suggestions are on the top ten list, but I was looking for more specific things related to the Sydney area. --- "Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest". -- Denis Diderot

Yes, thats the main plan, but I'm hoping to bring back something more than photos of me on the beach with various beverages in my hand. :) (or not, given the weather here in sweden atm)

Taronga Zoo, Harbour Bridge Climb (need to book), I guess you will want to go to one of the widelife parks and get attacked by a kangaroo, koala etc. Powerhouse Museum's ok, Blue Mountains. There is a behind the scenes Opera House tour not sure how often it runs or whether you need to book ~ http://www.seesydneycard.com/allAttractions.do[^] Not recommending this particularly it's just the first google result with links to the various things.
