the "Visual C++" forum should be renamed to "MFC" ( or something similar ) since it's what it's mainly used for these days. Create a real "C/C++" forum for standard C and C++ questions ( STL, templates, C++, ... ) Rename the "C++/CLI" to something more meaningfull in that context; maybe something like "C++.net" I see a lot of people asking C++ .net windows form questions in the "Visual C++" forums, and see standard C++ questions in the "C++/CLI"

I think two forums is enough, although I agree that the names aren't clear. The VC forum is really intended for all non-managed C++ topics, not just MFC and Win32, so maybe "Native C++" would work. "C++/CLI" is probably too new a term for people to know what it is, "Managed C++/CLI" might be better (the forum used to be named "Managed C++" IIRC). --Mike-- Visual C++ MVP  LINKS~! My first guess was that "CLI" stood for "command line interface" which seemed to indicate console program (non-gui) forum.
