I fancy treating myself to a new phone to celebrate my new job. I've kind of taken a fancy to the Samsung D600. Whilst all the reviews I've seen so far seem positive. I thought I'd asked the CPian community for their opinions on the phone. Anybody here got one and care to share their opinion Michael CP Blog [^] Development Blog [^]

Well £299 for a phone could seem a lot, but it'll be the first gadget I've bought myself in a long while. And given that my new job may probably mean more travelling, a more fully featured phone may become of some use for those long nights in hotels. Michael CP Blog [^] Development Blog [^]

Try looking online - got mine from Vodafone (on contract) for free! In terms of the phone itself - well, it's not very often that I'm impressed with a bit of kit, but was truly gobsmacked with the D600....the features are amazing, it looks great, and for once Samsung (bless em) seem to have actually thought about their menus and the result is really usable too! Can't recommend one highly ennough! BTW - the video player is pretty cool too for hotels - esp since it has a tv out thingy, but if you have a laptop already.... My dad's got one and it seems really nice. He's not all that tech-savvy so I can't tell you much more than that... I'm due for an upgrade in March and I will either go for the N90 range from Nokia, or the D600.
