<Spaceman Spiff style>By popular demand</Spaceman Spiff style> Elaine - Patience is a virtue. :) It's only 6 PM IST, and I have a call till 7:30. In any case, I rarely leave before 8 PM. Watson - I wasn't writing up my post. ;P I stepped out to buy James Gleick's Chaos. Mircea - I don't have a GF. I chose not to. [scratches chin] Maybe I should get one. What are you doing this weekend? :) Tomorrow I leave for my hometown. My grandmother's first [edit]death[/edit] anniversary comes up next week and my parents wanted me to be there for the rituals. I will return only on Wednesday. So my plans for the weekend: tomorrow - travel, Sunday - relax and perhaps visit somebody in my hometown, Monday and Tuesday - the ritual. Maybe some AoE2 thrown in... :~ Cheers, Vikram.

Gonna watch the 3+ hour movie Ryan's Daughter tonight. I've become a huge David Lean fan after just two of his movies (Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago) and can't wait to watch this one. Bridge on the River Kwai is next. Having a 2 year old severely limits your ability to watch really long movies (I always prefer to watch films in one sitting), so we have to plan these things in advance.

I'm not sure who the jackass is voting you down for explaining this, but... :wtf: My condolences, Vikram, on your grandmother's passing. I think it's great you can get together with family to have a memorial service for her. BW

That's interesting - I've never heard of that. I always thought once someone's 'gone' that it's it you're done with the birthdays, gifts, cards etc!!
