Windows GUI Question (Not Programming)

Hi Everyone, Yesterday, I created a tool bar in my task bar... and pointed it to a folder ... and dragged it out of the task bar so it was on the top of my screen. I found it very useful cos its like a Quick Launch Bar but not in the task bar... leaving more space for windows tabs... Then all of sudden the toolbar disappeared... and since then I cannot get it to do the same thing... Does anyone have an ideas on how I can do it again? I can create the toolbar but it does not seem to drag out of the task bar... Any clues or ideas? Thanks in Advance, Mark

Right-click on the taskbar and see if it is under toolbars.
Yes the tool bar is there under toolbars... Is there any way to add tool bars directly to the desktop?

Also, if you unlock the taskbar, you should be able to move the Quick Launch bar anywhere you want.
Yes I have the taskbar unlocked thats whats frustrating me... I go to drag the tool bar... and it does not go anywhere even though the cursor changes ... is there a way to undock the tool bar from the taskbar... thats the key step I cannot figure out... it was working the other day... And I have not done any windows updates or anything... Thanks for your help Bassam I will look at the Free Launch Bar

Make sure all windows are minimized. If you move the mouse over the dotted vertical line, does it change cursors to a left-right arrow? When it does, drag it out to the desktop. If that doesn't work, drag it to the edge of your screen. If that doesn't work, buy a Mac. :) "If only one person knows the truth, it is still the truth." - Mahatma Gandhi Web - Blog - RSS - Math
