Frustrated with the buggy forums

No piece of software of any complexity can have zero bugs. Which bugs are we talking about. To be honest, CP seems to be working better than it has ever done. How are you reporting the bugs? Emailing Chris or posting them in the suggestions forum? Michael CP Blog [^] Development Blog [^]

I agree, but this site has had forums for several years. All the obvious bugs should have been fixed by now, don't you think?

It's running fast, but the posts (to the forums) often fall out of place. Check out the thread below this one.

Besides my post, I haven't done anything. I've noticed many people pointing it out inside their own posts, so I'm hoping the problem is well known. This is something that's been happening for a while. Alvaro

Not to call into question your abilities, or to deminish the importance of your frustration(s), but where is your site? My Programming Library C#, C# Run

I'd rather not say. We're discussing this site so that's not relevant.

Meet many developers do you? ;)

That's all -- just voicing my frustration.
I understand. That thread just below this is really messed-up, even for The Soapbox. Though my pet peeve is the occasional skipping of notification emails.
Now taking suggestions for the next release of CPhog...

:) I guess I expect this to be sort of a beacon of quality and high standards that all developers not only flock to, but also demand.

Thank you for understanding. :rose: Alvaro

Yes it can! My pet hate is when people make the above statement, it implies that you expect your code to be buggy and already are thinking up excuses for the errors! The main reason for 'buggy' code is cost, to properly design, write and test costs time and money. I used to write software that had to run 24/7, it can be done.

No. Have you? Is quality not much of a priority?

Yes, I have. It isn't a perfect world. Quality is important but understaffed and underfunded is a difficult situation to be in. Chris and the team are trying, believe me, I was there.

OK, I can take comfort in the fact that the CP team is aware of the problems and looking to fix them ASAP. Thanks, Alvaro
