Greetings !!! I am a new member of lounge but the difference is that i am a female. I am aware about code project for about 2 years, however i never tried to post something at lounge since i always feel that it is a male dominated corner of this portal. However i try today..... For my brief introduction, i am a VC++/Assembly software developer mostly engaged in softwares related to device drivers and palm devices. Hmmm.... its astonishing that how a girl can be a VC++ developer. In the company i work, there are 21 VC++ developers among which 16 are female . ;P If you want to know more about me see my profile here Saima Ali

I'm out numbered by quite a bit. I'm one of the few guys where there are more women than male programmers. Ist not bad though, and it keeps the sick jokes to a minimum. Welcome all the same. CP's a good place to be, and lots of smart people to learn things from. Giles

not to be taken the wrong way or anything but ... is it such a big deal to be a woman programmer who can actually write good code? kinda just get on with the job ... making a fuss about it is like admitting its a strange thing and kinda makes the guys in the industry think like they do ... ie programming is really a guy thing just my 2cents worth and all coding is coding is coding --- "every year we invent better idiot proof systems and every year they invent better idiots ... and the linux zealots still aren't being sterilized"

In the company i work, there are 21 VC++ developers among which 16 are female . ;P If you want to know more about me see my profile here Saima Ali

This sounds like an intro to one of those corny Top 10 lists. Top ten differences between male and female programmers: 10. Female Programs go on the fritz one week out of the month. 9. Female programs are completed 90% faster because women stop to ask for directions. & etc. Why not throw away a dime? I throw away ten pennies all the time.
