AlienWare systems have impressed me, but have always been very overpriced. Anyone who thinks he has a better idea of what's good for people than people do is a swine. - P.J. O'Rourke

Well their quality control was starting to drop, and their service department was slowly headed toward's the Dell standard.... So I guess they just finished the move.... I was hoping they would head back away from that, but I guess not. Guess it is time for WidowPC? _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. Maybe with Dell buying them they will be able to reduce costs in their manufacturing processes. Regards, Brigg Thorp Senior Software Engineer Timex Corporation

I like Dell machines. The machine I planned to buy for Vista was going to be a kick-ass Dell machine. Now maybe I'll be able to get even more ass-kicking machie. Another good reason for Bill delaying my purchase. I get to see how the assimilation of AlienWare goes. Michael CP Blog [^] Development Blog [^]

Bugger. :( As you say, there's goes another good company. After my experience with Dell, I'll never trust them again. Anna :rose: Currently working mostly on: Visual Lint  Anna's Place | Tears and Laughter "Be yourself - not what others think you should be" - Marcia Graesch "Anna's just a sexy-looking lesbian tart" - A friend, trying to wind me up. I was checking Dell's site this morning (3/23/2006) and they have an add for a new PC line they are coming out with called the "Renegade". The price tag on it is over $9,000 USD. Wow. I could buy a pretty decent used car for that amount. They are having a sweepstakes to win one. Brett A. Whittington Application Developer

That's friggin' insane. Let me guess, it's the only line with Vista installed. Marc Pensieve Functional Entanglement vs. Code Entanglement Static Classes Make For Rigid Architectures Some people believe what the bible says. They don't have them available yet to buy. The sweepstakes to win one starts April 10th but I did not see when they actually start shipping. I didn't look to closely at the features because of the price tag but I do remember seeing the dual core processor was being overclocked about 4ghz. The cooling technology must be pretty hard core to support that. If not, I might as well get rid of my gas furnace and hook my house's heating duct work to my new PC to heat my house in the winter. But what to do in the summer.... Brett A. Whittington Application Developer
