It's an awesome indexing system, I'm not the neatest of people when it comes to organizing data and Google Desktop allows me to run a google search on my own PC, neato! But it's darn annoying at times!!! I never asked to be notified of every posting in this lounge but I can't find out how to switch it off, so I'll make this request: Could everyone please stop posting in this lounge?!!:->

What is the hype about Google Desktop anyway. Though I have never used it, I have heard people say that it is "Awesome". What is there in Google desktop that makes it awesome? --- With best regards, A Manchester United Fan The Genius of a true fool is that he can mess up a foolproof plan! -- modified at 6:24 Monday 27th March, 2006

Personally, I've never liked google desktop Search. I dont think it lets you search for specifc files on your PC or does it? Suppose I wanted to search for the *.jpg files on my PC, would it let me?

Web Clips plug-in automatically adds different feeds as you browse web. You can remove any feed from Web Clips options :)

Yes but the options are only available for a few seconds, while the notices are being given, when the notice disappears the options disappear. Hardly heve enough time to set my preferences.:mad::mad:

If you search for a file, say greenball.jpg it will return any matches found from your HDD, Your Email (regardless of what client your using) , from your pc's history and probably from 100 different places I don't know of. Since the search is indexed, it's searches as you type, chances are you'll locate the file even before your done typing what your looking for!

You can edit the options by opening the sidebar and clicking the little arrow on the Web Clips panel... Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur.

Did you set it to read the CodeProject RSS Feed?
