I am not that great at Quake 3 but I had a boss who was really terrible at it yet still loved playing. Three employees all gunning the boss down for an hour at lunch most days. He'd literally stay where he spawned and spin around taking pot shots at us with the default pistol. We would figure out the slowest, most fun ways to frag him. Occasionally one of us would be on low health, looking for meds and just happen to wander past him at which point his single bullet would kill us. That made him so happy. This persisted for 5 years and no ill feelings were ever generated. But then he was a good boss, no dick-size issues. regards, Paul Watson Ireland Feed Henry! Nope. He really enjoyed it but never pretended or thought he was any good. He had no desire to be any good either. It was just a way of blowing off some stress everyday for him. He didn't think that he was less of a man or some such rubbish because he lost at Quake. regards, Paul Watson Ireland Feed Henry! Is it a good idea for me to continue to annihilate my boss in Quake 3 on a daily basis and therefore humiliate him infront of the entire office? Hmmm, perhaps not....

Yes it is. Keep on ! Who get to annihilate their boss in Quake 3 "on a daily basis" anyway ? Wish I did. Then again - I'm my own boss, so .. oh no.. :) Do you know why it's important to make fast decisions? Because you give yourself more time to correct your mistakes, when you find out that you made the wrong one. Chris Meech on deciding whether to go to his daughters graduation or a Neil Young concert

I tried to play Halo 2 with the Dundas devs. They were all such good players that they beat the total crap out of me. Eventually they even made a new rule that no one should kill me - and if they do, that'll count as a -ve. Gosh! I once did manage to get one kill, but no one noticed. So if any of you are using the Dundas components, be aware that the guys who wrote that super-cool stuff are also some of Ontario's best Halo 2 players. I've never played with Dave and Chris though - maybe they are bad enough for me to get a few kills. Gotta try it one day. Regards, Nish

My boss has now decided to "get involved" with the work I do and wants me to explain what I am currently working on to him! He doesn't even know what a register is! Next he'll probably want to "get involved" in the writing of the software and start dictating programming techniques to me! Help! I need an immediate remedy to this! Is there anything I can do short of murder? Hmmm, why have I hijacked my own thread?

                    1. Get a copy of his resume (or write one, if necessary). 2. Send it to three headhunters. 3. Wait for him to receive a better offer. 4. While waiting for 3. update your own resume to match his current job. 5. When he lands a better job elsewhere, submit your updated resume to fill his position. Done it twice - works great! "...a photo album is like Life, but flat and stuck to pages." - Shog9
