      Man, reading stories like this is horrible. It should make us all think and be grateful for life. Here's a little saying I like to go by (I forgot where I heard it from orginally though)... "Any day you're not 6 feet under is a good day." It's nice to keep that in mind. Jeremy Falcon

        Agreed. Hit and run should be 2nd degree murder without extremely strong extenuating circumstances.

              It's very simple. Get rid of 'death by reckless driving' then they get charged with manslaughter. The tigress is here :-D

                Even if the sentence seems extraordinary light, mandatory sentences are the opposite of Justice. It would be interesting to find the conclusions of the Court, to see what explanations are given for this decision.
