I sometimes find this free utility very useful: %SystemRoot%\system32\notepad.exe[^]

Visual Studio and SQL are dead. Long live Visual Studio and SQL!

If you don't have money to pay Visual Studio, or you haven't found a beta release of it on some thrift store like I did ;), get MinGW[^] as the compiler and SciTE[^] as the text editor! ;-) BTW: Link don't work: Server not found Firefox can't find the server at %systemroot%\system32\notepad.exe. * Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. Any alternative mirrors? ;) Lord Kixdemp www.SulfurMidis.com www.SulfurSoft.tk [ftp://][http://][hotline://]tsfc.ath.cx

I was thinking of any programs which help with programming. Programs that programmers like to use while programming. I wasn't thinking of anything in peticular, but i would especially like to know of any programs which makes coding easier. Thanks.

You mean like this site: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/visualc/[^] Been using it for a while :) I'll have to take a look at your other suggestions. Thanks :D

I use my own unit test engine[^] and Traceract[^] for trace messages, although this[^] is far superior. I also use MyXaml[^] because I do a lot of declarative programming, and I use my own tools[^] and my own client/server architecture for client/server apps (no link, I haven't published it). Yeah, if you look in the status bar it says file:/// (three slashes). Maybe a security protection by the browser? Copy and paste this into your address bar and it will work: file://c:/windows/system32/notepad.exe :)
