Microsoft purchases Lionhead Studios[^]. The interesting part for those who don't know is that Lionhead Studios is headed by none other than Peter Molyneux. I never thought I'd see the day when Mr. Molyneux would work for Microsoft. And in other news; You can run Doom 3 on Windows XP running on an Intel Mac[^] as well as Half Life 2[^]. regards, Paul Watson Ireland Feed Henry!

I guess the jury is still out on that one. When Bullfrog was taken over, he pretty much took the money and ran. So maybe he won't hang around long. Although, may Microsoft are his kind of company. Both Lionhead and Microsoft have been developer friendly companies. I learnt a lot about writing games from hanging around the Lionhead forums Michael CP Blog [^] Development Blog [^]

Blue Screen Of Death : The Movie the weird thing is that blue screens are (were) used for fx compositing shots !! Imagine a blue screen start attacking actors on the film sets!!!

I've got a shiny MacBook Pro 15" 2 GHz from my work running Windows XP using Boot Camp - it runs Counter-Strike:Source quicker than my 3.2 ghz Dell desktop! I love this bit of kit - it's the best laptop I've ever used - I'm a windows boy working with 50 mac users, so having the option to boot into OSX is awesome. P

I am incredibly envious. I am just waiting for the 12" MacBook to come out and my credit card is coming out. regards, Paul Watson Ireland Feed Henry!

Yes! Just what I was wondering yesterday when you announced I could run XP. Might have to start saving for a MacBook now. BTW, what's the expected life of a MacBook, i.e. I bought a Compaq notebook a year ago and now yearn for something with a bit more power. If I buy a MacBook will I want a new one in a year or do they tend to hang around for awhile? Also, your Doom 3 link just goes right to the article. ------------------------------------- Do not do what has already been done. Third-from-the-last game i bought was "Black & White". Played it on and off for a week, maybe; made a great game to show off my new system at the time, and was fun enough while it was new... but really didn't have anything to grab me and pull me back into playing it. Eventually, i gave up and bought Warcraft 3 or UT2003 or some such.
