CP Insider as RSS
-
CPians, I love CodeProject insider, but I was wondering to any of you prefer to get news via an Aggregator. I love RSSBandit, and I prefer to collect all my information there. Am I in the minority? Should I just get over it? or could we push to have an option of how you receive your CP Insider information? Thoughts.

That would be cool, and I would probably say I would prefer it that way... ...but I know in reality I would not read it unless it popped up as a new email. Matt Newman

I'm fine with the email format. The Insider is just a buncha links and I usually only find 1 or 2 of them interesting enough to go and read. Email is fine for that IMO. Also, in an RSS format, it would put more load on the CP servers every day (and not all RSS readers are nice enough to respect the TTL, so they'd be hitting the feed URL a lot).

Seriously? I tend to think it's a rather below avg. digest of the day's events. It strikes me as nothing more than a bad rehash of selected news. Frankly, I think any of various other sites is more interesting--OSNews, even /. I suppose that's a pretty harsh criticism, but I was expecting something with a bit more bite to it. I'd be interested in seeing an example. Visual Studio and SQL are dead. Long live Visual Studio and SQL!

Yeah, me too. There's only so many wakeful, alert hours in the day. Well, I like it. Lately I have been busy and have not had the time to keep up with my RSS feeds (hundreds of them), nor do I have much time every day to check the tech news. This comes in my email and just takes a couple quick minutes to grab a few news bits. Rocky <>< Latest Post: SQL2005 Server Managemnet Studio timeouts! Blog: www.RockyMoore.com/TheCoder/[^]

An RSS feed would be grand. Though I would expect it to come with ads just like the email. regards, Paul Watson Ireland Feed Henry!
eh, stop bugging me about it, give it a couple of days, see what happens.
