Hi All, I am so fed up with the dull, dull, dull sandwiches that I bring into work for my lunch ... What is everyones favourite lunch ? I am looking for inspiration ! Nic :suss:

My real-world occupation is as a professional baker. I enjoy quite the range of foodstuffs that are dead cheap if not free altogether. Currently my favorite "snack" is a toasted onion bagel with cream cheese, and a hot bowl of chicken stew. Eat that! :) - Jason Do you have a Pulse? A can of sardines and a kosher dill pickle washed down with a 'Big Red' soda pop. Man, that's livin'! "There's a slew of slip 'twixt cup and lip"

I haven't eaten lunch for the past six years. I am a breakfast and dinner guy. I do eat lunch on Sunday though, and that would have to be my favourite meal of all week - roast pig, sheep or cow with properly cooked potatoes, veg and all the dressings. Oh man that makes me hungry... ________________ David Wulff http://www.davidwulff.co.uk Sonork ID: 100.9977 Dave "If anyone can show me, and prove to me, that I am wrong in thought or deed, I will gladly change. I'm on Atkins so I'll probably have a thick juicy ribeye steak wrapped in bacon. I also work from home :-P Cheers, Tom Archer Author, Inside C#

It seems to me that I'm going to have to get a job where I can work from home. The problem is always that I make my lunch way before I'm actually going to eat it, hence by the time it's time to eat I actually fancy something different !!! Nic :suss:

Just because you work from home doesn't mean that you have to change your routine of preparing lunch and then heading off to work. I know that was the mistake I made for a long time in telecommuting until I finally began to treat my office down the hall just as I would any other workplace. Now, I get up, shower, dress and head off down the hall just as I would any other "regular job". Cheers, Tom Archer Author, Inside C#

Barbeque from Fat Mans Soul BBQ. Usually I liked chopped beef or links but the ribs are SO DAMN GOOD. Only problem is ribs almost demand a cold beer or two and that makes the rest of the workday a bit rough. Get it with potato salad and relish or sometimes cuke and tomato and cole slaw. Thick slices of Texas Toast ( Thick slices of bread lightly fried in butter ). Throw in a glass of ice tea or lemonade ( the real deal not the fake stuff ) and all is well in the culinary world Richard If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. I, like you, seem to eat nothing but boring (but cheap) lunches: PB & J all the way.

That sort of sacrilege could cost you your life in some countries. What a waste of fresh bread. Now if you were dunking it in fresh pumpkin soup with some King Island cream, that would be another story. Since changing jobs I am near several nice cafes, and the amount I spend on lunch has been going up and up. Favourite at the moment: fresh foccacia rolls with chicken ( REAL chicken ), brie cheese and assorted greens. Mmmmm... And the cakes are divine. As for now, I'm ducking to McDonalds for a Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry.... Christian The tragedy of cyberspace - that so much can travel so far, and yet mean so little. It's magnificent - the icecream is covered in yellow goo, I can't pinpoint what flvaour it is, but it sure is sweet, and the whole thing has chocolate chips merged into it. I had my first yesterday on the way home, and my second last night. About to go get a third for breakfast...
