How to Send Email using ASP.NET?

Hi EveryBody! Act i wanna know dat how can i send email with attachments to multiple reciepents and at the same time i want to keep track of it dat da email has been viewed by da recipent. I m aware of the MailMessage Class, dat we need to instantiate it but then it is not working properly as me not getting how to send my own fields(data). Can any1 suggest a gud link or book for this.
