I was looking up websites which list the worst songs of all time, and strangely enough I didn't see any songs by Meatloaf on any of them. Meatloaf..... Uhg! "I'd lie for you and that's the truth, if you just believe in me...." ("And now how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it." - Hamlet) Why not throw away a dime? I throw away ten pennies all the time.

The single worst song of all time has got to be Macarthur Park. Someone left the cake out in the rain I don't think that I can take it 'Cause it took so long to bake it And I'll never have that recipe again Ugh. Second worst song has got to be "Let 'Em In" by Paul McCartney. Someone's knocking at the door Somebody's ringing the bell Someone's knocking at the door Somebody's ringing the bell Do me a favor, open the door and let 'em in Great.. now I have THAT in my head... -- Where are we going? And why am I in this handbasket?

no no! Please not that! I'll say it wasn't mentioned because no one could bear the thought of thinking about Celine Dion or Whitney Houston as viable music choices :) James Sonork ID: 100.11138 - Hasaki "Smile your little smile, take some tea with me awhile. I'm surprised that "Umbacaraja" by the Dave Clark Five didn't come up. It was far worse than any of those listed on the site. One meaningless "word" repeated over and over accompanied by an equally monotonous alleged tune... Gaggggg...

I have to disagree. MacArthur Park is a pretty cool song. You just gotta listen to the lyrics. It's a song about the perfect day with the perfect girl, so perfect that it almost seems like a dream, and how, once such days are gone, they're gone forever, and you will only ever experience them again in your memories. :(( Of course you have to dig a little bit into the poetic symbolism, but once you look at it that way it makes perfect sense. Plus the solo at the end ROCKS! I wish people still put that much work into their music. Why not throw away a dime? I throw away ten pennies all the time.

They're on the list by default. They don't even need mentioning. "Didn't we almost have it all!" X| "thought you were history with the slamming uff de door!" X| Why not throw away a dime? I throw away ten pennies all the time.

I've gotten it down to an art! I award myself points according to the degree of annoyance the song holds for the person who gets it into their head. The trick is to quietly hum the tune, so quiet they almost don't even notice, and then 3.5 minutes later: "She's a superfreak! She's super freaky! What!?! How'd I get that in my head!?!" "Score! 50 points!" Why not throw away a dime? I throw away ten pennies all the time.
