Ahhh... I guess I don't think about the safety thing but you do have to take that into consideration. Then again in a city like Minneapolis and even more down here in Des Moines sometimes you start to wonder about safety:sigh: Learning the language would be fun to me but then again I'm intrigued with language as any good programmer should be:-D ------------------------------------- Do not do what has already been done. Heh. :) Somehow I think a language that doesn't use familiar characters English characters, and is written and read right-to-left, would be quite difficult to learn, for more than a new programming language. But it would be interesting to do, I agree. I do know some Hebrew, but certainly not enough to speak it let alone write it.

Rather than portraying the soldier as heroic, confident, or proud, my images disclose a complexity of emotions. The soldier is often caught in a transient moment of self-reflection, uncertainty, a break from her daily reality, as if questioning her own identity and state of contradiction. She is a soldier in uniform but at the same time she is a teenage girl who is trying to negotiate between these two extreme dimensions.

Consider Israel's history and the fact that everyone around them would like to eradicate them. Israel has faced genocide once I don't think they fancy it again. They have one of the most sophisticated and highly trained fighting forces in the world. 2 years of service is required by everyone and the net result is that every man and woman over the age of 18 is fully trained and can handle all classes of firearms if need be. The Israeli intelligence force is one of the very best and again most highly trained in the world. People talk of erradicating Israel but nobody will do it. The 6 day war proved Israel can take all comers without stumbling and dispatch them quite effectively. The only way to get at Israel is terrorism because in an all out war you won't be facing a country that has an army. You will be facing a country that *IS* an army a vastly different undertaking. - Rex

It's more fun then therapy. Plus it's harder to get the time to get in the pit at shows anymore with working and everything.

I really wish that people would bury the word terrorism, and call it what it really is, a coward’s way of conducting a war. Stand up and be counted, don’t hide behind a mask. :)

You bring up something interesting. Terrorism really isn't war. You cannot take over land, over-throw governments, enslave people, ruin a civilization with terror. You will serve two purposes with terror you will blow up a lot of your own young and bright people and you will strengthen the resolve of your enemy who you confess is militarily dominant or you would address them in open war. Those who conduct terror fail to realize the end result is just going to get them creamed. You'll take bites from the ant pile at some point though you'll just decide to remove the ants. Lesson to the ants would be to change tactics. I would not provoke Israel for any cause. That nation (Israel) is poise for action, trained for combat and can carry out orders swiftly. No thanks. I'd go after France.

Very cool, thanks for posting that. Interesting that in almost every picture they have their hands on their guns, I wonder if they were posed, i.e. would they really have their gun over their shoulder in their "dorm" rooms or is the photographer trying to editorialize by posing them that way.

What? I don't?! heheh Yes, there are some Arab Christians. There also exists a growing movement of so-called "Messianics": those who are Jewish (and some non-Jews) who believe that Jesus is the Messiah promised in Judaism.

yeah , I agree andy, It's of more fun. I love doing katas in group and solo. Do you have fight sessions?("shiyai",If am right). you get hurt ? I used to get hurt a lot, and still my right foot's thumb pains if I try it bend it backwards. And on the Nose, quite often I get punched.. but you know , I was a good fighter, I Have never lost a fight to a guy of my age group, :->. I miss the thrill that I used to have when they choose people randomly for the fight session. I mangaged to get only a Brown belt :(, I had to leave Karate only because of my studies and tuitions :(
