Nish and Smitha are coming to visit me this weekend. I am extremely excited to meet them. I have plenty of planning to do for them. There is a Blue Angels airshow in Atlanta and if they are intersted I will take them to the air show. It is going to be an eventful weekend.:-D

Saturday: visiting Gent (town from Belgium) with my girlfriend. I hope the weather will be as good as today :) Sunday: bachelor's party of a friend (don't know if this is the exact expression, it's when a friend is marrying and so we have to make him do a lot of funny things). We have planned some very funny activities . Monday: resting and I plan to finish writing my first article for codeproject.

What are you doing this weekend? :) It's a long weekend (May Day is a holiday here), but my weekend is shot. Totally. I'd planned to go to Pondicherry, but both the chaps I asked dropped out. I thought of going alone, but my uncle in Pondicherry will be out of town. What's worse, my friends will be out of town too. :sigh: I'll probably read something, do some Sudoku and perhaps visit somebody in Madras. And there's always laundry :| Cheers, Vikram.

Senior project presentations are tonight, and another showing tomorrow. There's fiddle group[^] in the next town that we might go see on Saturday. I am going to the Gathering of Nations, the largest Pow-Wow in North America. All the Native American tribal groups that can afford to attend. Wonderful to visit. Might pick myself up a new flute, we'll see what is available and what I can afford. I might be taking someone, maybe. Her sister was just hospitalized since Wednesday, so she may not be able to make it, but then I have attended alone before, so same old, same old. :) _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau. I'll be visiting my wife's family and attending her cousin's wedding. Monday isn't a scheduled day off here, but the company I work for (construction) has a primarily Hispanic workforce and we don't really know how many people will show up on Monday. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, there is a "Day without a Mexican" protest planned for May 1st wherein Mexicans in the USA who observe will not take part in any part of the American economy. This includes not going to work and not making any purchases that day. Their stated goal is to show the impact they have on our economy in an effort to win legal status for those who are here illegally. It's a shame really, because (depending on how many people really take part) employers - sometimes small and sometimes large, with us being on the smaller side of medium - are the ones that are really going to take the hit. These same employers are some of the biggest supporters of legal immigration or a guest-worker program. Oh well, call it collateral damage, I suppose. Wow, did I get off topic or what?! Not taking part of the American economy by protest will not work unless the protesters do not drive anywheres, watch tv, use computers, etc.

I've been busy since last Thursday with family in town for my sister's wedding last weekend. So I'm looking forward to a fairly relaxing weekend. I'll go run on my new Mizunos tonight to try them out, and probably again Sat or Sun. I also finally bought a platform for my speed bag, so I'll hang that in the garage tomorrow. Otherwise, just doing some reading, work on a side programming project in C#, finish up some PHP scripting work, run some errands, and finally plant a couple of shrubs that are out growing their containers.
