Internet Explorer 7
-
I tried for a week, and then couldn't stand it anymore; so I went back to Firefox. I found it very slow, especially when changing between tabs. I will try it again when it finally ships. Did have some ok features tho' - definitely an improvement over IE6.

Has anyone tried IE7 beta 2? It's a great improvement and I love it but can't FTP for some reason. Any suggestions? you can't forget something you never knew...

My tabs work great, no speed issues encountered yet. The thumbnail view of the tabs is very cool! you can't forget something you never knew...

I'm using VS2005 with IE7 beta 2 and it all works fine. Help actually seems a lot faster than it was with IE6. Phil

I used it for about a week. I had trouble finding (remembering) where the usual buttons were (home, refresh, favorites, etc.) Then after several sites wouldn't render properly, I uninstalled it. The render problems had to do with tables where normal text followed the < strong > type; they looked fine under IE6 and Firefox. IE7 would also complain about site certificates and that got annoying - the sites were legit (our company's exchange server).

I attribute some of its weirdisms to it being beta but it has worked great for me on my desktop and I love it. My laptop is a different story, IE 7 Beta 2 Preview works great. But if I install IE 7 Beta 2 (not preview) everything above the display area freezes up. FTP worked, but wasn't great, in IE 6 and broke in IE7 Beta 1. I would recommend getting a seperate FTP program (or write your own) Matt Newman

Yep. Installed it, couldn't change the proxy settings, uninstalled it. So I really don't know how good (or bad) it is, the only thing I noticed is that it looks awful when used with the "classic" theme. Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum viditur.
