We should forward this thread to bush@washington.gov

We should forward it to Bill Gates. "Mr Microsoft" would see that there are nice Windows programmers in Iraq and then tell Bush to let them live. I'm sure Bush would rather listen to Gates than to a group of non-tax-payers. _________________________________ Please inform me about my English mistakes, as I'm still trying to learn your language!

Hello CPians I'm one of the silent members of CP. This site was very helpful during developing my project (part of my masters degree studies in computer engineering). Here in Iraq, you can't find professionals in VC++ when you face a problem. Because of CP, this was not a problem. At first, I used to ask questions, but after that, I found that I can find whatever I want in your excellent articles and your answers to previous questions in the forums. Since then, I became a silent member. I know that you'll say....so what, we all know that CP is the greatest. But, with the lack of safety, electricity, books (and everything) here in Baghdad, CP was (and will always be) a great help and gave me exactly what I needed in a short time (so that I can print it and start reading until electricity returns, then I start coding). So, I just wanted to say Thank you very much for this site, your articles, your answers, and everything. :rose: Thanks a lot. :rose: Mohammed

I used to do that...when we had enough electricity. Now, and after getting used to printing articles, I'm too lazy to go back to the old days even if electricity gets better. :-D Thanks for your reply.

I know some C/C++ programmers. After graduation, they've either switched to other programming language (VB.NET, PHP, Java, C#) or to an entirely different path (mostly Networking). The best VC++ programmer I know has left Iraq a year ago trying to join some International Game Company. All that because there are no C/C++ jobs in Iraq. :(
