Repost??? To All of You Out There Lurking...

I didn't see anyone tell all the Mom's to have a Happy Mother's Day. If I missed it I apologize if I didn't we don't want to look like a bunch of male pigs. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms. I know first hand the dedication and the sacrifice you ladies make on behalf of all your children and I admire each of you for the enormous effort it commands from you. The most important job in the world and there's no doubt about that. So if you are a mom understand that your dedication is appreciated all over the world. - A Son:rose:
If we all used the Plain English compiler every post in the lounge would be a programming question. Welcome to CP in your language. Post the unicode version in My CP Blog [ ^ ] now. Very nice sentiment. My gf and I spent a lovely day with my Mother on Sunday (her mum is overseas so I let her share mine for the day). We took her out for lunch, then to a nursery to pick some presents and then to her favourite restaurant for dinner and a good bottle of wine. Judging by the responses to anything remotely emotional around here lately you can expect the 'real men' of CP to call you gay. Objects in mirror are closer than they appear

We actually had a great day. Mother's Day can catch us in a bind-of-binds. Between my mom, her mom and her plus 3 kids under the age of 5 it usually wears us out and is a day we dread. We call it the holiday parade (dragging our kids and us in 6 different directions). This year we took the lead early. We ordered up pies, cakes and foods ahead of time. Arranged for them to be at our new home before the appointed day arrived. Sent invites to everyone and made them all come to us. It was a nice change and for the first MD in years I didn't have to drive anywhere and I think everyone really liked it. - Re

Let em. They're just insecure because they live to far away from their own mom and couldn't honor her properly.;)

huh - I hope that 'real men' was tongue-in-cheek .. anyone knows that to be a real man is to show emotion when/where appropriate (and I'd never say that about Rex) 'g' -- modified at 0:05 Monday 15th May, 2006

With all of them 5 or less it's a full-time effort on it's own just to keep the "Me Syndrome" under control. I think though that they do a pretty good job though. It's a lot for them to try and comprehend at their age. I think my kids did a great job today though. Katie had soda-pop for the first time ever. That didn't go so well but we had a hunch it wouldn't. We were curious to see what would happen though ... now we know and pop is off the list of allowed items. That was the only hiccup in the entire day. Some would argue a day other than Mother's day would have been a better time to try but then they weren't the ones trying to tell a 4 year old girl about yet another food she cannot eat. (I say that with humor.) Katie's diet is actually a wonderful diet that all Americans should consider ... for different reasons but the outcome would be the same in ever case. BETTER HEALTH:-D I bring *that* up because she got a little bit of me-syndrome over it. So we gave her enough rope to hang herself with and sometimes (Deanna and I share a look...) we happily play more slack out when needed. Better to know than not to know.

Strange deal. So don't have the plant that's known as a mum eh? That's a downer. I think they are popular here. No clue what they are though... So we have one up on you prison-colonists again. We have moms and mums.;P

It differs around the globe. Seems to be two systems, the European/UK date and the American date (of which I know at least SA follows.) regards, Paul Watson Ireland Feed Henry!
eh, stop bugging me about it, give it a couple of days, see what happens.

yes, I see the day differs everywhere, but no matter when it is, I'd wish a happy and healthy life to the moms :). I can even afford to wish this everyday :rose::rose:.
