Web Expression Designer First CTP!!!
-
So far all I know is that it's CTP, it's Web Expression Designer (whatever that is) and the download is a cool 220 Mb's. What is it? Why do I want it or maybe... why do *you* want it? Can it make frapaccinos? Does it look good in a bikini? Will it protect my home from criminals? Can it beat Chuck Norris? These are the things that people like to see and know before they try and deal with Passport because passport and and of itself is annoying. I'd rather have my teeth drilled than try to make passport work with something...
If we all used the Plain English compiler every post in the lounge would be a programming question.
Welcome to CP in your language. Post the unicode version in My CP Blog [ ^ ] now.People who don't understand how awesome Firefox is have never used CPhog. The act of using CPhog alone doesn't make Firefox cool. It opens your eyes to the possibilities and then you start looking for other things like CPhog and your eyes are suddenly open to all sorts of useful things all through Firefox. - (Self Quote)

It is an HTML/CSS editor from Microsoft. It is pretty much Visual Studio for HTML/CSS. It has some nice features but is not revolutionary. It has a good balance of hand-coding features and WYSIWYG features. I am glad they are releasing it though as it is a solid editor. regards, Paul Watson Ireland Feed Henry!
eh, stop bugging me about it, give it a couple of days, see what happens.

I finally managed to start downloading it. Here's what I've done: 1 - Send login information. You'll receive a message saying that page can't be found. 2 - Retype the full address again. 3 - Fill in downloading information. Note: It's 220 MB long. Downloading will take a while!!!

In theory (or utopy?) you will replace frontpage and dreamweaver... Has everything what you need in Visual Studio regarding HTML, CSS, etc, but with one "MS Office-like" visual and rendering correctly the asp.net server controls. Until now, I liked very much, but is very heavy and slow... do you will need a very powerful machine (or GBs of RAM memory) :-/ Regards Fabio

So is 4 gigs of RAM, 650 Watts of Power and Dual 3.2 gig P-IV's enough? If not maybe I'll wait for the service pack.:|

Well just downloaded it and tried to install it but it seems like it doesn't want to. Just asking me if I want to proceed with the installation and that's it. Hopefully there's more to it for a 220 MB download. Well, doing a restart and trying again. regards, Mircea Many people spend their life going to sleep when they’re not sleepy and waking up while they still are.

Seems like an updated Frontpage to me. They have some updated themes but is thier something really special I am not noticing? Maybe they just want to get rid of the stigma of Frontpage so they used a new name. Had hopes for new features that make my life easier in building html, such as automatic creation of styles in a style sheet as I build them on a tag or at least on click to convert a tag styel to a class in a style sheet. Would be nice to type "class=" and have it automatically stub out the class into a style sheet. Rocky <>< Latest Post: SQL2005 Server Managemnet Studio timeouts! Blog: www.RockyMoore.com/TheCoder/[^]

See that's really odd - the Interactive is only 7MB lol.... Realise that they're different products, but that's one HELL of a difference hehe "Now I guess I'll sit back and watch people misinterpret what I just said......" Christian Graus At The Soapbox
