Browse info not found

I'm working on a new project and cannot get the damn thing to give me browse info. F12 on any symbol gives me that stupid "The symbol 'whatever' is not defined". I have the /FR switch set and other browse info settings are the same as in my other, browsable projects. The banner looks correct: Creating browse information file... Microsoft Browse Information Maintenance Utility Version 8.00.50727 Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Are there known problems with browse info in VS2005? Suggestions?
