I can't image how anybody could see it as anything but a hoax. Many of the images are obviously staged, and rectilinear kittens... please. If that alone doesn't scream hoax at you then all fool you. ____________________ David Wulff I watch how the moon sits in the sky On a dark night shining with the light from the sun The sun doesn't give light to the moon Assuming the moon's going to owe it one It makes me think of how you act to me You do favours and then rapidly You just turn around and start asking me about Things you want back from me - Linkin Park

Not the point, David. There isn't a week that goes by in this country that you don't turn on the tv and hear a story of how someone has doused a cat in petrol and set it ablaze or a decapitated a dog for kicks. It's not about this one site being a hoax or not. It's about the mindset of people that think that hurting the defenseless is fun - whether that be wild animals, domesticated pets or children. In some ways I agree with you Tom, { I must say that since you are a popular author ). But if we are going to attack websites for hoaxes, where do we draw the line. It would be a bit like implimenting thought police. Yes just joking about such things is sick, but can we really ban bad humor? Regardz Colin J Davies

And I appreciate that :) ****Colin Davies wrote: But if we are going to attack websites for hoaxes, where do we draw the line. It would be a bit like implimenting thought police. Yes just joking about such things is sick, but can we really ban bad humor Actually, there are two issues here: 1) I'm not saying to ban the site. My remark was that the attempt at humour was sickening and a symptom of a greater illness. Just as the person that created the site has the right to voice their opinion, so do we in stating that the attempt is inappropriate and unsuccessful. 2) However, with regards to drawing lines, please keep in mind that we do draw such lines every day on these issues. After all, don't we ban even satire and cartoons depicting child pornography? To me the line is very clear and it lies between that which is legal and that which is not. Clearly the inhumane treatment of animals falls over that line. Just my 0.02 :) Cheers, Tom Archer Author, Inside C#

Also there are some loony people who actually find the Japanese art of Bonsai itself to be offensive, how do we cater to there taste sensitivity. Tom Archer wrote: 1) I'm not saying to ban the site. I would actually like to see the web somehow rated for content so certain domains such as bonzaikitten can be avoided, similar to how sex-shops are unable to display there wares in a window display in most places. I really wouldn't want my kids to accidentally stumble across such a site. But I do realise that this would be a massive undertaking. Regardz Colin J Davies
