I don't believe you can just embed .net code in an html page in this fashion - the server won't know to parse it.

Put it in an aspx page.

save page in asp or aspx format, in simple html this code will not work so use the same code <% httpcontext.current.responce.write("text") %> but save it in asp format Regards

In exactly the same way as in an HTML page. Just type your code in the body of the aspx page as you would with your html page. You'll also need a page directive at the top:

<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="MyCodeBehind.aspx.vb" Inherits="Web.MyCodeBehind" %>

copy all text matter(tags) of .htm file and paste it into the aspx's html page.
