We, as humans, constantly seek out new experiences - it's what drives us. We have just manged to take more out of this community than some other people take out of life. If you can honestly sit back and say that the Code Project has affected your life (and I don't mean through programming knowledge or the destruction of your social life) then it has succeeded - both as a web site and as a community. Nish [BusterBoy] wrote: Right now as far as I am concerned some CPians are more real than the people I see around me in flesh and blood. Yeah - Bob looks so real in that bunny costume. Nish [BusterBoy] wrote: I must add here that SONORK has helped things a long way. Why do you think I uninstalled it again? ;) Only kidding - I don't have the time at the moment (nor indeed the time to keep posting these messages!) David Wulff wrote: I don't have the time at the moment (nor indeed the time to keep posting these messages!) A lot of people think that people who post heavily on CP have no lives and that they have too much free time. The point they miss is that there cannot be people like that unless you include the dumb ones and none of us are dumb, not in the proper sense of the word. I guess the truth is that we all have our lives, but that we give CP higher priority. That's all. If we seem to have a lot of free time, it's because we create it by trespassing on the time intended for other activities. Nish

You know you have been at CP for to long when .. When someone uses the word "dance" you correct them and explain its a jig. Your wife drapes a wig over the monitor to remind you of what she looks like. When coworkers use the word "lounge" you wonder what their login actually is. You check your mail. It says "no new messages" so you check it again. All of your friends have an @ in their names. You tell the cab driver you live at http://www.codeproject.com/index/article.html You tell the kids they can't use the computer because "Daddy/Mummy's got real work to do". You get a tattoo that says "This body best veiwed with Internet Explorer 6.0." You actually like Mondays because thats when the new surveys and newsletter appear. You ask the plumber how much it would cost to replace the chair in front of the computer with a toilet. You start tilting your head sideways whenever you smile. :-) As your car crashes through the guardrail on a mountain road, your first instinct is to search for the "back" button. You get a tattoo that says "This body best veiwed with Internet Explorer 6.0." "This body best veiwed in the dark." Tim Smith I know what you're thinking punk, you're thinking did he spell check this document? Well, to tell you the truth I kinda forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this here's CodeProject, the most powerful forums in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question, Do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk?

Basically when you find that you are actually mentally affected by an argaument you had in one of the CP discussion boards, it's that point where you realize you really have the CP addiction. It's not such a bad thing after all. Though sometimes things get out of hand. People like me and David Wulff have often mal-reacted on CP even though we are both aware that this is basically a nice web site and the people are simply people on the internet. yet we have both got seriously affected, specially I have. Right now as far as I am concerned some CPians are more real than the people I see around me in flesh and blood. I must add here that SONORK has helped things a long way. I mean it has brought some of us closer to each other than we'd otherwise have been. Nish

Gosh, women can be so boring at times, can't they ? Have you seen the old internet joke about the difference between a man taking a shoer and a woman ? I'm thinking specifically of the bit where the woman covers herself with a towel, and the moan runs around naked, screaming woo-hoo.
