No one can help you (with that!) here! :^) Perhaps you should try a VB6 forum? news://news.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.vb.bugs

Open up the VB6 IDE, wait 5 seconds, and unplug your keyboard. You will then be unable to use either key combination. Jeremy Falcon

Funny that your suggestion would involve "goto".
If we all used the Plain English compiler every post in the lounge would be a programming question.
Welcome to CP in your language. Post the unicode version in My CP Blog [ ^ ] now.People who don't understand how awesome Firefox is have never used CPhog[^]CPhog. The act of using CPhog (Firefox)[^] alone doesn't make Firefox cool. It opens your eyes to the possibilities and then you start looking for other things like CPhog (Firefox)[^] and your eyes are suddenly open to all sorts of useful things all through Firefox. - (Self Quote)

Oh that's an easy fix. These ------ are not comments in VB 6. These ''''''''''''' are. Your subject won't compile it will raise errors. So go post in the vb forum and use more comments. P.S. In VB there is no multi-line comment so add more comments using '''''' but then make some carriage returns so that the people you ask will actually know what you really want. I sure don't have a clue... But if I had to guess do it in C++ it's actually easier.

A lot more than a label. I took over a system that started in VB 6.0 and then was switched to C++/ATL and MTS because VB 6.0 stinks. I've spent many long hours in VB 6.0 and it always seemed like I was hand-cuffed. I could never ever do what *really* needed done. Drove me insane. Once we went to ATL and MTS things got so much better.

:-> You couldn't resist it. Listen people, if you ever knowingly or unknowingly post a programming question in the Lounge, scan all the replies by Rex(code-frog) thoroughly and you will get a hint towards the solution. I have observed this several times earlier as well and here it comes again (not that I m complaining :))
Tribute to Shog: New CPhog is amazing especially with message posting, very well done Sir.

Take a large brick or stone from out of your garden, stand about 6 Foot away from your monitor and throw it directly at the center of the monitor. That should do the trick. Never send a human to do a machine's job Agent Smith -- modified at 2:54 Wednesday 31st May, 2006

Well it's just a tongue in cheek response but... You have to agree if you can do it in VB then C++ is easier. People will never understand that until they have learned both languages. My favorite programming questions are from C++ guys that have to do something in VB. VB is like being handed a huge back-hoe and told to dig fence post holes. Here you have a 4 foot wide by 3 foot deep scoop on this huge mechanical monstrousity and you have to dig a 1 foot by 1 foot hole. You just cannot do it with a back-hoe nor can you program anything decently in VB. It's a big bloated pig that will dig you into a hole that you will struggle to get out of. Javascript would be a better choice than VB heck so would fortran. Just thought of a better one. Coding in VB is like trying to do needle-point with oven mits on. No matter what expression you use it's the same. Now if I have to work in/support a VB 6.0 application I code a DLL in C/C++ and use it to get the real work done. VB just has to look stupid and the real work can get done somewhere else. Yup, I'd rather have me teeth drilled than code in VB.

And an "on error goto" no less - I can see the little irony lines wafting up (or maybe it's the BASIC stench)! :-D

Why can't you dig fence post holes with a backhoe? If you change the clam you can dig 1 foot holes. You only need the big clam to bury the bodies of those who oppose you! You need to get out more! See the real world. Find a blonde bar! Have some fun, get laid, get plastered, then go back to work. If you don't get up the same day you go to sleep you are being a whus, you only need 30 minutes sleep a day.... Measure you life in dog years. Cheers No Sleep, No sleep. more booze, ranting ranting ranting oops give me a chance to extract my foot from .....

Exactly, get rid of VB and use C++ 4' clam for a 1' clam. Let's see. I married a blonde gymnast who after 15 years and 3 children still weighs under 110 pounds is about 14% body fat and enters marathons without training at all and finishes in the top 10. She looks better in a swimsuit then most of the stringy-half-starved models out there and I'm in heaven. That should cover the laid part. I chose exercise instead of alcohol. I'm self employed usually work 80 hours or so a week and I almost always go to sleep around 2:00AM or 3:00AM and am up no later than 9:00AM. I haven't used VB 6.0 since 2003 (thank God!) and I spend most of my time thinking of ways to get out of work so I can hang out with my kids. Oops I forgot to insert these where appropriate otherwise the tone of this gets missed.;P:-D:->;) They are not in the right place but the meaning should be clear. - Rex
