How many Tea & Cigarette do you have per day? …also what was the number, at the point of time when you were at the peak. The question from the concern that i am on an all time high on both (Tea/Cigarette = 8/15 per day) In no way this is indented to encourage either of the habits; in fact it is the opposite -- modified at 8:36 Wednesday 31st May, 2006

At work 1 coffee every 15-20 mins, ciggy every hour ish...plus 3x coffee and 3x fag for breakfast, then lay off the coffee a little in the evening, but ramp up the smoking - prob 3 coffee / 10 fags... What's that work out as then .... oh DEAR "Now I guess I'll sit back and watch people misinterpret what I just said......" Christian Graus At The Soapbox

That explains it... In case you didn't know, smoking isn't cool in your 30s. Enjoy it now, because your gonna have to quit soon. how vital enterprise application are for proactive organizations leveraging collective synergy to think outside the box and formulate their key objectives into a win-win game plan with a quality-driven approach that focuses on empowering key players to drive-up their core competencies and increase expectations with an all-around initiative to drive up the bottom-line. When I smoked, I'd typically churn through 60 a day (three packs a day). I drink coffee rather than tea, and at that time in my life, the cup was never empty. [edit] Oops. Almost forgot. Those days I also smoked an average of one ounce of tobacco per week in cigarettes that I, er, rolled myself. ;) So, I was smoking quite a lot, and yet have somehow lived to tell the tale. [/edit] However, to compensate for the nicotine and caffiene induced jumpiness, I mellowed it out by drinking 1/2 to 3/4 a bottle (fifth) of whiskey a night, so it all balanced out. :-D Author of The Career Programmer and Unite the Tribes Know someone who desperately needs to get a clue? The thing with smoking is that you don't have to worry about retirement because you're gonna die before you get the chance. how vital enterprise application are for proactive organizations leveraging collective synergy to think outside the box and formulate their key objectives into a win-win game plan with a quality-driven approach that focuses on empowering key players to drive-up their core competencies and increase expectations with an all-around initiative to drive up the bottom-line. Not necessarily... See my post below about what I did in my younger years. I'm pushing 50 and I'm alive & kicking. In fact, in many ways, I'm in much better shape than I was in my 20s. :-D Author of The Career Programmer and Unite the Tribes Know someone who desperately needs to get a clue? Yeah, and as soon as I leave New Orleans I am going to slow down to. Only been here for 30 years, in another 20 I am going to get another job ahd live a sane life. Well, insane perhaps, most likely, my next career. Cheers Wireless accesspoints in all the best bars.

Truthfully? For the same reason that I make most of the changes in my life. I'm a creature of extremes, so I tend do things with great enthusiasm. Eventually, I end up having so saturated myself in the experience that it becomes boring, so I ditch it and move on to something else. I lived the sex, drugs and rock & roll lifestyle with abandon, but after awhile it just wasn't fun anymore and I was looking for something new to entertain myself. Why do you think I became a programmer? Certainly not to meet girls... :-D Author of The Career Programmer and Unite the Tribes Know someone who desperately needs to get a clue? Huh, wait a minute, NOT TO MEET GIRLS!!!!! Time to crawl out of the closet you fell into, get up, watch the sun rise, and go back to work. Time enough to start drinking after you get the next eight hours of work done m'boy. Youngen you need to learn how to live. We are not on this earth forever, if you do not party now, you may never have the chance again to do so. Now I do not mean that you should harm others, but if we were not ment to have fun, then there would not be a devil driving us back to the old grindstone every day. Cheers

Oh, don't get me wrong. Meeting cute girls is still very high on my list of priorities. It just wasn't a motivating factor in becoming a programmer. You'll meet more interesting ladies in one night on a gig than you will a year in the typical programming environment. As for all that other stuff, I still party with great enthusiasm, play guitar, sing songs, and howl at the moon. I just don't do the drinking & drugs thing (beyond a beer or two) anymore because I got bored with it. The Drugs, I can understand, never had use for them myself. But to not drink, that borders on the sick.:~ God created wiskey to keep the Irish from ruling the world, and created beer to make the ladies pretty.
