I've been using it without problems for about a year, this week on my main PC it has started needing a daily reboot after each upgrade. My friends laptop is complaining that the virus file is out of date, then saying no updates are available. :sigh: Anyone else having problems? I had this happen on a laptop once. I think i fixed it by uninstalling, then re-installing AVG.

---- Scripts i’ve known... CPhog 1.0.0.0 - make CP better. Avast all the way http://www.avast.com/eng/free_virus_protectio.html[^] It IS a little freaky when you hear a voice telling you when the virus database gets updated... BTW. I switched after I got tired of problems with AVG (Pretty well described in this thread) Brad

Same here. I switched when v6 came out adn wouldn't work with gmail's SSL and different port scheme. Tech support forums denied the problem existed repeatedly despite myself and a number of others having the exact same problem.
