I am referring to the series of books about William the rascally boy by Richmal Crompton. All this stuff about British royalty made me remember William :) Just thinking about William's adventures makes me laugh. Amazon UK link Growing up in India these books were everywhere. In the US I have not seen them anywhere. Regards, Suresh

Yes!!! I think my favorite was the one about the "lek-churer"! Amazing stuff! Surprisingly, only one William book can be found on EBay. Barnes & Nobles seems to sell quite a few. And what about Billy Bunter (by Frank Richards), Coker, et. al. of No. 10 Study? :) /ravi "There is always one more bug..." http://www.ravib.com ravib@ravib.com

I think it's interesting that we often qu-ote each other in our sigs and attribute the qu-otes to "The Lounge". --- Daniel Fergusson, "The Lounge"

I always remember the "plays" he used to put on in his backyard. They invariably ended in some "poor helpless" female being acosted and covered in liquorice stains :-D My cousins have every single William book stacked on their shelves, along with all the Beano, Biggles, Billy Bunter etc. books/anuals. Those were good times. No worries except wondering where your next anual was coming from :) regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and to be loved in return - Moulin Rouge
