Let me share with some facts which is im used to. I donno how to ovrecome it. but im expecting some inputs from you people. 1. My Sleeping habit. I used to sleep at 12.30 AM and used to wake up 8.00 clock. actually there is a company provided us transportation to office at 8.20 but I got it before a couple of months. 2. I'm very much interested in reading articles and books. but after 2-3 pages(books) or 2-3 paragraphs(articles) im getting bored or not feelign irritated.Oftenly I could not finish reading any of long articles. 3. The next one is codeproject. I'm getting crazy of the forums at codeproject which i could not avoid for the past few months. 4. I'm trying with different and new versions of tools and softwares which is not required for our project but for self learning. 5. I could help many other people in solving their problems and getting claps from them. I'm really happy someone other say thanks for the help I have given. 7. Worries about my past and future bothering me alot.Im wasting alot of time for this :( 8. When a day ends... there is nothing remaining in my sheet. Not big amount of code, not that much big claps, not a complete information from the artcles i have read since im not completing it properly naa? Sometimes im feeling very guilty because I have grabbed something but its not useful for the current context. I know all there are because of the bad reading habits and unwanted things which im used to do at office hours? but still i want to go on with my proffessional as well as personal achievements. it would be very nice if u give some suggestions, inputs, some useful books.hope my project manager or PL is reading this :) SaRath.

Just make sure that you are working to LIVE (non IT enjoyment, spare time for yourself etc) rather than living to WORK! I still remember having to write your own code in FORTRAN rather than be a cut and paste merchant being pampered by colour coded Intellisense - ahh proper programming - those were the days :)

Boy howdy! That's some good advice there. Hard to learn for many (myself included) but now that lesson is firm and I carry it with me everywhere.:rose:

Identify what you are unhappy with. Identify what you want to be. Refactor your life. Small goals, small steps, always keep it running.

                            (1) What's your problem? (2) could be stress, lighting conditions, attention deficiency (3) So what? If you feel the time here is wasted, set rules ("no CP before 10 p.m."), if you can't cope with that, get away completely. Or simply enjoy the addition, there are worse. (4) At work? Or at home? Keeping your tool set updated is a godo thing, but many bosses don't like you doing it on company time (5) If you help other people for the kudos, you open up yourself for a lot of frustration. (6) your problem is no sechs? (german language only joke) (7) Interesting. Worries about your past: Do you worry about things you may have done wrong? You cannot change them, but you can learn from them. Worries about your future: What are you afraid of? (8) set small goals. keep a log what you did today, what you saw today, what made you happy, what made you sad.

2,3,7,8.. [evilsmile]HaHaHa...[/evilsmile].. you've been into the lounge for weeks... Analysing....done. You start your day at work with CP. result:[20 refreshes per minute] (without RSS) looking at your own profile... 5 times a day.. thinking about the photo for display... 5 times a day.. Anything happens in your everyday life, you'd wish to post it in your lounge... When you close your eyes, you'll feel like you are posting something in the lounge, or replying to something or just navigating..certainly so real that you think that you are really doing it. Dont worry, You will find someone repeating the same here in the lounge. You'll get convinced that you are not alone. Hey I've beeing watching you for a couple of weeks and I was sure that you've been snared. I'll tell you one thing, make it a point that at least you learn one NEW thing everyday. That gives you good confidence. What you lack is confindence. Dont spend too much time in the lounge,[atleast for the moment], better stay in VC++ forums .And helping people there is not at all a sin, I dont understand why you worry about it. Sometimes, I create *new project* to test their problem. If I'm able to solve it, I'll be really happy about sharing the solution with them. And that also helps you boost your debugging skills. So you dont move away from vc++ forum, unless you are too busy with your work. OMG!:doh:I've spent too much time here.. I'm out of my therapy!! :(( can't help it.

It won't be bad, if we can make a living being crazy for a forum. - It's easier to make than to correct a mistake.
