Hi, In the new Vista Beta, it is not allowing me access to any of the following folders in my own User directory: AppData, Application Data, Local Settings, even the Start Menu folder ! It tells me that if I want access to any of those folders, I must use "the security tab." But when I open the security tab for any of them, it shows that I do have permission to access the folders. It shows check marks for all of the permissions for my user name and for the administrator. So do you think there is some malfunction, or did they really mean to deny me access to my own start menu?

No malfuntion or error... In my case, it opened a window and set properties of the folder and allowed access... (I don't rememeber the exact procedure... search the MSDN blogs, you might find it...) M.S.K

Hi M.S.K. Thanks for your reply. I think you are right. There must be something funny going on with my installation, because it allowed me to open the Start Menu folder through the context menu choice from the Start Menu itself. Thanks for your thoughts!
