What have we got, at the end of the day?
-
With all the hoopla over with the .net, its time to ask a frank question... What have we got? A (somewhat better?) copy of VCL and Delphi and some borrowed ideas form Java. Tragic. I feel sorry for the people who see visual inheritance in Windows Forms and faints in amazement, or the new visual menu designer perhaps? Sorry folks, seen that thing like 5 years ago in Delphi. Well, I guess that's M$. Well what the heck, Michael Jackson is always gonna be more popular than Neil Young. This world ain't fair.

So when did Microsoft ever *think* of something as opposed to throwing their resources behind coming up with a better version of someone elses ideas ? What you meant to say was that now you have some form of income you find yourself buying things like this purely because it gives you a buzz to know that you are keeping legal. I know - I was the same until I made my first pound and realised that it felt good to spend the money you earned. ____________________ David Wulff :bob: I know who you are mate.

You're pretty close to being right on with that. The difference though is that when I realized programming was something I could actually do (using a warezd copy of VB) I went out and purchased a copy, after saving my paper route money for about 20 weeks :-P.
