Hi, I've just discovered Qemu, you can have a look at it... it allows to create a Linux image to run with the vmWare player... and also to run linux from your USB key! https://wiki.ubuntu.com/VMwarePlayerAndQemu?highlight=(vmware) Enjoy, Fabio

you want a linux virtual machine, running on a VMWare installed on Windows XP, right ? why don't you create it yourself ? Linux is free to download, so download one distrib, burn it or store the isos, create a new VMWare virtual Machine which will host a Linux OS, and once this is done, boot the VM from the CD or the ISO.
