Being the American which I inevitably am, I cannot understand for one second what on Earth is so damn appealing about soccer. Why do some many people keep posting soccer rants on a web site dedicated to software?! Aren't there soccer (football, whatever) sites to which you can post these rants? Let's get back to business here, people. Software. Software. Software. Josh

    1. There's more to life than just software. 2) Soccer, when played well, IMHO, is a beautiful game to watch. Watch Ronaldinho, Zidane, Pele, Maradona, et al, and watch the skill as they move the ball through player after player at full speed. The grace, fluidity, skill, and athleticism is, in my opinion, just incredible to watch. Players like this make playing the game something akin to art. 3) It's the Lounge - get over it! And if you hate the soccer rants wait till people start posting about the Tour de France - because this year is the most open field in 7 years, since Armstrong retired! ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! Real Mentats use only 100% pure, unfooled around with Sapho Juice(tm)! SELECT * FROM User WHERE Clue > 0 0 rows returned Save an Orange - Use the VCF!

This is the lounge. And considering the way Australia lost the match, it deserves more rant post. :)

Yeah, I know that. But thanks for pointing it out anyways. I feel like I'm in "The Lounge" of a soccer site. I don't understand why all these soccer rants are being posted here, on a software dev site, that's all. :) Adios amigo, josh

I know that. But thanks for taking the time to point it out. I don't come to CodeProject for life's other stuff. Why post about soccer (or baseball, or bicycling) over and over and over on a site that has nothing to do with it. That's all I'm saying. I think it's great that people are really into soccer and think it's the best. I just don't understand why people slam the CP boards with rants about soccer. josh
