Hi I'm intensivelly using Windows List (menu Window\Windows) in Visual Studion. But I am very unhappy that this dialog doesn't show whole name of opened file if it is longer. I know I can wider the column, but it must be done with mouse and I don't want to use mouse (and the dialog doesn't remember new width set). Do you some replacement (add-in) for this feature? I've found one on CodeProjet (http://www.codeproject.com/macro/en...windowlist.asp), but it is not for VS 2003. Or do you know other way how to show list of all opened editors? Thanks

I'm sorry I have to say this, but after few days of using, I have to state this plugin doesn't help me and I'm affraid anyboudy could. What is wrong with it? Firstly - it forgets keyboard settings. I want the window list to popup on keyboard shortcut, but VS is not able the remember my settings (yes, it has not to be error of the plugin, but with any other plugins, everything goes well). Secondly - the plugin has a bug in its behavior. If I open the window list, I cannot navigate in it. Only key which works is arrow down, which allways moves to the first line. This is unacceptable for me. That's my verdict.

I am sorry that you had bad experience with my tool... FeinWindows was one of the first tools I wrote, and it has been discontinue long time ago. Its functionality is rolled into FeinStuff tool (http://www.feinsoftware.com/FeinStuff.php[^]). The issue with persistent keyboard shortcuts was fixed; however, the navigation bug is still there (it was never reported). I am going to fix it ASAP - will let you know. Will you please give it another try? Will you please accept a registration key as a token of appreciation for your help in finding that bug? Having said that, I think that you were too harsh in labeling that tool "useless"... ----------------------------- Get trial copy of FeinViewer - an integrated GDI objects viewer for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2005 (8.0) Visual C++ Debugger, and other convenience and productivity tools for Microsoft Visual Studio .NET at at www.FeinSoftware.com
