    :mad: :mad: :mad: Isn't it great when a piece of UPS monitoring software won't let you cancel a calibration test which is going to drain the battery to the point where the server it's attached to switches off suddenly with everyone logged in? Clicking "Stop" just brought up a stupid error message and I had to stand there and watch it go down. :mad: :mad: :mad:

          Yeah that sucks, almost as much as not testing it until there's a powercut and though it had never complained about being overloaded it supplied ten seconds of run time! Said the voice of experience. Not even enough runtime to finish my expletives! :doh:

            Don't take this wrong but that's not as stupid as performing that kind of test during regular work hours. Thought: Let's test the main power supply to the server during production load. Voice of Reason: What if it shuts off or something goes wrong? Common Sense: Let's test it during non-business or off-peak hours. Now that's not an attack on you but hopefully you learned a lesson from the event.:-D
