Maybe they should have a link to a page that tells you what did happen to the person they caught. The "just ask the last person that got caught..." line makes me imagine they turned up on his doorstep him and beat the living crap out of him. Words fade as the meanings change, but somehow, it don't bother me.
I for one WOULD like to ask the last guy they caught. Where's his email address or phone number. Maybe I can ask them for his details... *OOOPS* I'm assuming he's even alive! :-D

The capper, for me, is this line: Anyone Caught Violating This Copyright Will Be CAUGHT AND PROSECUTED. Basically, if they catch you copying their code, they will then catch and punish you...but wait, wasn't the person already caught???

I think a lawyer would look at that notice and LHAO. First, it's (c) 2004 with no company name after it. Then, it's "all blah blah blah are property of this site". WTF? Does the site have any rights? No. The business/person that runs the site does. And then there's the ubiquitous "all ... are the property of this site". All information, even mine? Usually there's some sort of a qualifier "all content on this site" or "all downloadable code", etc. so you know what "all" means. Considering HTML code and javascript have, at least in the industry, been considered open source was it is published. What would be ironic is if their web developed stole their code from somewhere. Their is this whole bunch of 'misguided' individuals that think knowledge is some sort of intellectual property right. I don't know a single programmer, developer, engineer, politician, farmer, lawyer, school teacher, writer, etc. that has not plagiarized material at some point in their professional career. It just the way that we learn things. If you want to carry this to the ultimate extreme, why have schools? Is not every student, teacher, dean, associate, etc. plagiarizing material every day of his/her life? Didn't we do that even when our parents were potty training us? Come on, I do believe that there is some validity to intellectual property rights however, there is a FINE LINE between what is legitimately a right (i.e. music, videos, movies, patented or trademarked items) and what is not. How about if the english language was patented. Or musical notation. I think the whole intellectual property concept is a bit blown out. Songs for instance, were passed down through generations as community property. Usually to carry the stories and history along with them. Imagine if they had to pay royalties first. ;)
