It would give more credibility to the "free oppressed people from their dictators" angle; it seems like Iraq was only "freed" because of oil money. As much as I criticize the USA for their wrongdoings, I know that they'd never do something as stupid as shoot people for watching a freakin' football match on TV. The Islamists are a sad bunch though. :sigh:

When you're right, you're right. We should indeed. In fact, it would probably have been a great idea to have attacked Somalia first. Israel is fighting to survive, but so are the Palestinians. Sending helicopter gunships to blow people up is effectively the same as sending young people wearing explosives. Neither is in the right. Egypt is doing pretty well. Its got a good car economy business you know. Tronché pas ma miche!
There's some pretty serious political repression in Egypt, applied to both democrats and Islamists who don't toe the line. But yeah, it's no Syria or Iran. http://www.sandmonkey.org/[^] makes good reading. Ryan

Well, its their country, and if they outlaw homosexuality, it is their choice. The UK outlaws paedophilia, New Guinnea doesnt. Does that make the UK less funcitonal? I take funcitonal to mean self sufficient in terms of wealth production (which Palestine isnt. It is totally dependent on US and EU aid). Trade with neighbours and stability of government (somewhat goes with the first 2 points). Tronché pas ma miche!

There are certainly some hard line Jews who would like every Arab removed form Palestine. But I dont think the will go about it with Zyklon B. Why cant a six year old throw things at a tank????? You have no idea of the history of the girl - if all shes learnt is to link a big bad tank with personal loss and/or destruction then i could COMPLETELY see why a child would choose to perform such a fruitless act. Have you never seen a small child get so frustrated with something they cant change that they choose to just hit out in a typically small way? i know i have

I really dont see how you can say it was or it wasnt! Therefore it tells me alot about ur kind of politics - i bet if it was a little american christian girl throwing a can of pepsi at a T60 iraqi tank (if they had any left) as it drove thru her home town you wouldnt have as much as a problem... hell! you'd probably champion it!

 That is just about the most stupid thing I've ever heard. Yeah sure, out of frustration with her oppression the small, but brave, Palistinian child singlehandidly charges the big mean Israel tank with her little toy. There could be no way that some adult (the same adult who in a few years will be bravely strapping C4 onto the same child) said "Here, take this and throw it at the tank so that I can take your picture..." The fact that you fall for this kind of idiotic propaganda says much about why Europeans believe as they do and are so incredibly icompetent politically.

If I saw any child exposing themselves to that kind of danger I sure as hell would not be taking a picture of it. I would be trying to do something to get them out of the way of danger. That child will end up dead someday in order to further this vile propaganda. The blood will be on your hands.

I didnt say there was no way it could be that - just that it could also be the other way round, ie, its not black & white as you said in your previous post - that was my point.

In the city of Flint, Michigan, a kid of 6 year old was shot by a 6-year-old classmate. Do you believe it was staged too, because "Six year olds don't do stuff like that on their own"? In that case, I believe this child is doing the same as his older brothers, just imitating them. No need of a conspiracy theory to explain his action.

It is absolutely black and white. The picture is propaganda, and the child's life was put at risk to get it (even if it wasn't staged, which I very seriously doubt).

Becuase the people who control children like this will not hesitate to sacrifice them to put doubts in your mind about how black and white the issue really is. If a picture of it was published in the local paper in order to promote an anti-gun agenda by someone who could have done something to stop it, than, yes, it was staged.
