                      How about going to bed earlier (or sometimes it helps going to bed later). For instance my father normally works from 09:00 to ~03:30, if he sleeps for more than ~6 hours he wakes up more often than not in a bad mood.  If he goes to bed at 00:00 he will often wake up at ~7 and be very active in the morning and afternoon but he slows down a bit in the afternoon. It all depends on what you're habits are and whether your body agrees with it.  I find that if I go to sleep at 11-12 I don't sleep well, but if I go to bed earlier or later I sleep well and am refreshed throughout the day.  Of course being outdoors during the day helps quite a bit. Maybe if you feel tired during work you're not finding the work challenging enough, or dare I say it, boring :rolleyes:

                        Maybe you're eating too much carbs, protein or fat, and giving your body a hard time digesting all that: this makes your body slower. Reduce the ammount you're eating on lunch, and add a bit more raw salad. Avoid things like lettuce and passion fruit that are known to make you sleepy. If you don't do it yet, end the lunch with a fruit. Reduce your lunch and add a snack or a light sandwich 3 hours later. If you're already doing this, or after doing this for 5 days, you don't feel better, go see a doctor...

                            I agree with you on most of the points.But even if we got good sleep in the night,we might feel sleepy in the afternoon.And this is only a general case which I observe. For my case i had a tea from the canteen and Now I feel quite OK

                                Apparently it's cos it takes so much of the body's energy to digest the food you've just eaten, that it makes it a "High Priority Task", and evertything else gets switched to a lower priority thread "Now I guess I'll sit back and watch people misinterpret what I just said......"                                     Because you eat too much, and too many carbs, which are rapidly digested and create a sugar rush and then the body overcompensates and you end up with no energy. Instead, eat a smaller, more balanced meal of protein, carbs, and fat. And do a little physical activity too. Walk around to block (of course, the block around my house a 2.5 mile walk).
