It's a year today since the London bombings. A year of emptyness and heartbreak for too many families, those of the bombers included :rose:. For those of us who escaped it's easy to forget how lucky we are. Brendan was trapped underground two stations from one of the blasts on his way to work and I sat with our 5 week old son sleeping on my lap and watched the BBC news in horror whilst praying that Brendan would not be taken from us. Yet just one year later we actually would not have remembered this anniversary if Brend wasn't in the habit of still checking the BBC website for UK news in the evenings. Sometimes it's good to hug one's family for an extra couple of seconds and be thankful in the evening. I'm sure there will be many in the UK doing just that tonight.

I didn't reply because my views on the subject would reignite the soapbox Islam flamewar.

Well you can certainly initiate a separate thread on this in the soapbox but a simple reply would make her feel people care about what she has said. but it's still good beacause you've cared to say why you didn't reply. thanks.
