Oracle is She. SQLServer is He.

"O banco de dados" (the database): Male "O Oracle": Male "O SQL Server": Male There are funny things, too: "The screen" -> "A tela" -> Female "The monitor" -> "O monitor" -> Male

From the Churchdown Parish Magazine: "Would the Congregation please note that the bowl at the back of the Church, labelled 'For The Sick,' is for monetary donations only."

Does it mean the more normalized means a she ? Does this mean the normailized she database can mate with the male database to produce something and what would this link produce?

        > Does this mean the normailized she database can mate with the male database to produce something and what would this link produce? Foxpro or Access...I can't decide. Both have about as much appeal as, uh, changing diapers.

Depends on whether the DB is hosted in California or not. You would then have the following choices: M F M but was F F but was M neither don't know won't tell here's the phone number of my lawyer who will be contacting you Marc Pensieve Some people believe what the bible says. If the response includes how the database feels it is female. If the response includes Luis Tiant had an ERA of 4.53 in '77 then it is male A man said to the universe: "Sir I exist!" "However," replied the Universe, "The fact has not created in me A sense of obligation." -- Stephen Crane

In french, the translation is: une base de donnée. Therefore it's a feminine word.
