Recommendations for downloading links from a page, *with filters*

Sorry to deviate from the theme of the day, but I'm looking for a program that * given a URL, downloads links contained in the page to a folder on disk * should have filters (download only PDF links and not links to GIFs or HTM pages, etc) * is NOT a toolbar * is (preferably) free Yes, I googled. All easily done with wget[^] One of the features I like the most is download in the background (same as working like a service). Oh and its cross platform, there is a *Nix & Windows version.
