Israel does what it needs to survive as a people. if the countries and peoples on its' border focused on attempting to live a civilized life instead of Israel's destruction then there would be no problem. How's that for logic? Mike Dear NYT - the fact is, the founding fathers hung traitors.

http://www.derafsh-kaviyani.com/english/quraiza.html[^]. The banu qurayza were in no way innocent angels, but this action was definitely breaking Mohammed's own rules of war, in sharp contrast to the humane (for the time at least) manner in which he had treated tribes he defeated earlier. I believe some Islamic sources consider it a later Jewish fiction that somehow made it into the hadith.. the Quran only mentions that some were killed and some where taken prisoner. Ryan

sorry, I don't believe this either. what I do believe is that there are extremists that would destroy Israel in a heartbeat if they could. I don't mean to paint all Muslims with that brush, under our individual labels we're all human beings with similar hopes and dreams. Mike Dear NYT - the fact is, the founding fathers hung traitors.

I am not sure whether its real or propaganda, but I am pretty sure there is a lot of censoring going on in the media these days. Warning: There are gory images! http://www.fromisraeltolebanon.org/ Rob! PS. No flaming please! I am merely passing on what I received. Since the pullout in 2000, isreal's been waiting for the lebonese govt to hold up it's side of the bargin and police the border to stop the hezbola attacks. They haven't even tried to do so. There's no indication they ever will try to do so.

As you know, until recently, Syria was pulling the Lebanon Government's strings. And Lebanon Government is presently unable to do anything to stop this current armed conflict.

Since Lebanon could do nothing, Israel has every right to fix this problem with these terrorists. My mom told me once that "while we all don't speak the same language, everyone in the world undestands an asskicking"

By all means eliminate these terrorists on the battlefield. A Beirut housing estate is not a battlefield. It is a place filled with ordinary people - babies, children, pregnant women, and so on. Eliminate the terrorists but NOT extend it to the civilian population. You don't have to terror-bomb densely populated areas. This causes people to react to those acts of barbarity in a not very different way to how Americans reacted when the World Trade Centre buildings were terrorised to destruction. Violence breeds violence - it is a never ending catastophe.

Get the terrorists to hang out in industrial parks instead of appartment buildings.

War, irrespective of the cause/reason/justification, irrespective of the combatants, is a dirty business. Those pictures appear to be valid. Also see 1. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5193662.stm[^] 2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5193404.stm[^] 3. http://www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30000-13533752,00.html[^] 4. http://www.itn.co.uk/news/headlines_26ca3494efd56b9998b7824722b7f34d.html[^] and so on... But war doesn't need to be the first or only option. Other options that "civilised" society should employ is the paraphernalia of mediation. As Churchill once said "Jaw-Jaw is better than War-War". And anybody can submit pictures here (they probably require some verification) http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/4995300.stm[^]
