For bird flu. I'm not talking medically, in that sense even the government isn't. But a simple quarantine, if the flu strikes your region, your town, your neighborhood. We shop in bulk, so it's less of a problem. We have enough food, bottled water, toilet paper, cleaning supplies (soap, shampoo, laundry detergent) to last at least 2 weeks. As well as internet, (includes online banking), and the fact that most of our work can be done from home. The thing we don't have is health insurance or extra money in case of a medical emergency. How prepared are you? Roswell X| (suffering from mild flu-like symptoms - most likely a simple cold)

I made a reference to Bird Flu a couple of months ago. Got shouted down as scaremongering. I later withdrew the lead topic thread. Caution this don't happen to you. And yes it is a good subject for debate.

Given that I'm not in an overcrowded city and generally healthy, I'm not too worried. We also keep supplies around for the natural disaster du jour. If you are really worried, get on of these: http://www.fluarmour.com/[^] And stock up from here: http://theepicenter.com/[^]

Nothing beats an old Islay single malt. I just bought a Laphroaig Quarter Cask, which is deliciously sweet yet, as always, rough, as you would expect from a Laphroaig.

I couldn't tell what bottles you have from the photo, it's too small. The number of scotches in my liquor collection varies over time. I used to be almost exclusively a scotch drinker, but have branched out a bit into cognacs, madieras, sipping rums, sipping tequilas, armagnacs, and rye. Currently I have, for scotch: - Macallan 18yr - Balvenie 21yr (port wood) - Laphroaig Quarter Cask - Lagavulin 16yr - Dewars 12 yr :josh: My WPF Blog[^]

I am a hermit most of the time. :) I have the least chance of infecting someone else or being infected. There's an equal chance that I will walk outside and find everyone dead one day, or someone will finally notice I am gone after a week or two and wonder what the smell is coming from.... Why worry about what will be? do your best to be safe, and be satisfied it is the best. Paranoia is worse, panic is worse, just live and do your best, that is all any of us can do. _________________________ Asu no koto o ieba, tenjo de nezumi ga warau.
