Just now, I went for lunch at Subway for the first time. I was shock at the number of questions i have to answer to order my meal. I am used to those mc donalds style where i just need to tell them what meal i want. Instead in Subway, i need to tell them what type of sandwich, size, toppings, etc. And thats not he end, before paying i still need to tell them whether i want to trade chips for cookies. wth!! I just want a meal.

Well, surely that's a sign you can get exactly what you want ? Subway is an overpriced sandwhich, but they have lots of options on the wall that you can point to and say 'I want that one'.

Why? It's healthier and tastes a whole heap better than most fast food places. And you actually get to choose what you want for lunch, rather than having the choice made for you. What's so bad about that?

I wouldn't go that far, SubWay makes a pretty good sandwhich built to your specifications. You just have to know what you want before you go in. I admit, I rarely go to SubWay, and rarely know what I want when I go in, so I get the typical teenager "Are you retarded" look.

You need to concentrate on your requirment specs before begining design of the sandwitch :)

On the funny side, i overheard one lady's order. When the staff asked her about the size of the sandwich she wants, (I think she must be distracted or its her first time) she said 6 feet. LMAO.

Depends on who’s working the local subway, I often grunt / point and the female clerk just makes what is in the picture for me. :) I don’t go to Subway all that often as I think Jimmy Johns and Quizno’s make a much better sandwich.

I'd love to help, but unfortunatley I have prior commitments monitoring the length of my grass. :Andrew Bleakley:

I am pretty sure that at one point (may still do) that they did make a six foot (can't remember the actual size) sandwich for parties, etc.

Funny they are cheaper here than alot of Sandwhich places .... funny old world ... You want an over-priced sandwhich goto O'Briens Sandwhich bars!, €4.40 for a Mozzarella and Sun Blushed Tomatoes on Shamrock Shaped Bread, with Pesto .... €4.40 I ask ya ... I'd pull there spleens out through their eyeballs before I pay that again ... well at least until I have a hankering for Mozzarella again ...

That reminds me of the american movies. In those motion pictures they always scarf their meal. They never put it on a plate, eat with knife and fork. In Belgium it's the opposite. A full meal needs two or three hours. In Germany we are normaly in the middle, except for those people of course who buy some crap from McDonalds or Burger King. I like Subway. When I eat fast food, it's the only choice for me. So every second month or so, when I need something fast, I'll go there and I think it's quiet good for fast food. Regards, Ingo

I take a moral standpoint and don't go to Subway. I can't stand their aggressive marketing bs! Recently one moved in just next door to my favourite local deli and started all that nonsense of accosting you in the street and offering you free sandwiches etc. I told them in no uncertain terms exactly what i thought of them and their practices of trying to drive hard working local shops out of business. Support your local retailer.

Sounds like somebody would be more happy with a jar of McProtein pills and not have to worry thinking about food any more. Either that or set up an old computer and modem with a voice synth so that it will randomly dial a takeaway for you, and place an order without you having to worry about what it is you actually want. (Or just move back in with your Mom!)

Mac donalds is just an example. I eat more KFC though. :-D

Subway is ass. but i prefer to dislike them for the food they serve.

                                          Let's execute on the customer-facing market-driven swim-lane paradigm!
