Mr. Leya, Probably you are 23-35 yrs old. In this age if you think of going to KSA where you see women in black (WIBs) , your youth is of no use. I would rather stay in my country on a very low salary very very happily. Remember only money is not enough in this life. there are lot of things to live life.. (not just women.. but other things too which are not there in Saudi) Bye

Has anybody worked in KSA that is Kingdom of Saudi Arabia? I got an offer to work there but I am not sure about the environment , people, rules etc there. I heard its a very very strict country where you can not follow your religion. Its a hub of Al . Qayda. and lot of bomb blasts are happening. Any insights?? Will you dare to go there.

The environment in KSA is indeed very strict, as far as morality is concerned. You will find both men and women properly clothed without exposing any part of the body in an indecent manner. There are no public places of worship other than mosques. Alcohol is not sold anywhere since it is prohibited by the law. There are no movie halls anywhere. Having lived there for a long time, i can vouch for the fact that the crime rate there is extremely low as compared to other countries. The reason being the punishment meted out: Public execution for murder and rape. Chopping off of hands for robbery. On the brighter side, oil is cheaper than drinking water. The salaries you get paid are pretty neat. If you walk down a busy street for a mile, you will get to meet people from atleast 100 nationalities. (The point here being the exposure that you get) IMO, you define your priorities in life and compare the pros and cons. If you want to make a neat bank balance, then go there by all means. The weekends are Thu and Fri, and Dubai is not very far away if u need a break. But if you cannot do without wine and women, then stay far far away..

Marc has a point though. For a significant minority, a country like Saudi is not a safe place. I'd not dare even visit, let alone consider working there. Aside from the obvious (potential execution for being in a lesbian relationship) they wouldn't even let me drive a car there. If that isn't a fecked-up society, I don't know what is. :mad:

Who the hell could live anywhere where alcohol is illegal? I could probably handle the burka thing if I was at least drunk. ...and I doubt they have good cheese there.
