Me too. Have you also experienced that the sensitivity of mouse movements went up after using this? I'm still having one of those and it irritates me.

Yes, but only when connected to a computer running NT4 (And yes, we still test on and support NT4 here)

I feel your pain. I've got a decrepit 7yo p3 in my cube for nt4 testing.

I've noticed that indians often use the word doubt instead of question. I suppose that's because some of the indian languages (might be a cultural thing) doesn't distinguish between the two.

In WinXP, what is the purpose of Press Control-Alt-Delete to get the log on screen? Why can't that screen be displayed by default?

The purpose is to ensure a "trusted path". The theory is that the operating system will not allow you to hook that specific key combination, thus you can be sure that whatever pops up when you hit those keys is legitimate, i.e., a system component, and not someone's application trying to trick you to give out your password. That's the theory anyway. :)

Excel uses it to allow the user to scroll around the sheet with the arrow keys etc but without moving the focus from the current cell.

xfire, the new tiny and shiny clone of gamespy / All seeing Eye (ASE) and (enter ur favourite internet gamebrowser tool here) uses the sophisticated shortcut "Scroll Lock+Shift+X" to enable the ingame chat window (a layered window above the 3D-Screen to chat with your xfire-mates in the game, a neat feature, btw). So "Scroll Lock" is frequently used - at least on my game rig ;) Niclas -- modified at 4:26 Friday 4th August, 2006
